Summer Track and Field
Purdue Area Track Club - Summer 2017
General Practice Information
Sixth grade and younger are typically introduced to all of the track and field events through a series of stations that are administered by High School and College athletes. Events include sprints, hurdles, Long Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault, Turbo-Javelin, Shot Put and Discus. Activities/skills include starts, hand offs and speed development. A “distance” group is offered 2 or 3 times as well.
The location is at the Salisbury Athletic Complex, 1000 Cumberland Ave, West Lafayette. Older athletes (JH and older) "may" be accommodated, but please check with Lane Custer before registering. Our emphasis is on introducing athletes younger than JH age rather than experienced athletes but private coaching can be arranged.
